It is used around crops in fields, gardens, greenhouses, and plastic containers, such as vegetables, fruits, citrus fruits, grapes, strawberries, grains, and other crops and ornamental plants. It is a specialized pesticide for controlling snails (snail trout) and all worms belonging to the Gastropoda family. It is prepared in the form of a ready-to-use bait containing substances that attract and are acceptable to snails. It is not significantly affected by rainwater. Furthermore, its granules do not rot due to moisture due to the preservatives they contain. These granules are also not blown away by the wind. It kills snails by contact and through their stomach. Metaldehyde granules can be spread manually or with fertilizer spreaders at a rate of 2 g/m², or 120 granules per square meter. When the infestation severity is 100 shells, spread the granules on the ground around the plant.
To protect rare plants, double the normal rate. The granules can be spread around flowers and vegetables, in greenhouses, under tables, in greenhouses, and on lawns. It can also be applied with spreaders. Spread the granules over the entire area, in lines, or in small mounds. It is preferable to spread the material in the evening on the soil surface. The soil must be moist (after irrigation or rainfall).
